So Many Changes Have Happened

Since my last posting I have found a new love of life.  I am so happy with myself and how far I have come.  When I started my weight loss journey I was 307 lbs and am currently holding at 194 lbs. That is a loss of 113 lbs.  That is a whole other person.  I am happier, I am off my blood pressure and High Cholesterol Medications and very rarely do I have to use my inhaler from Asthma.  I can do so many thing now that I wasn't able to do before because of my weight. Like play on the floor with my Grand daughter, chase her around, go for a jog...yeah I said jog.  Here is a current before and after photo.

Wow what a difference.  On the left I was wearing a size 28 (XXXL) and my current dress size is a 12 (L).  I still need to lose another 50 or so pounds, but I know I will make it happen.

Through this change in my lifestyle and healthy eating habits I have come to love this program I am currently using and have become a Fitness Motivator.  Motivating people with fitness goals through an online accountability group, providing recipes, workouts, motivation and support. Getting Unstuck

So after months of being stuck and going back to 212 lbs, I saw a post on Facebook in January for a Crockpot Recipe Challenge Group and thought hey why not.  I have since lost 13 lbs and still doing the monthly Boot Camps.  I am not only truly learning to eat healthy and exercise, I am using my story to inspire others.

Here are a couple pictures of me now.  Take a look at the first picture where there is a before and now.  You really can see the difference.

So while meeting this person and finding this awesome group, I have also decided to become a Fitness Coach and hopefully inspire people to lose weight and go on this incredible journey with me.

So Disappointed

I haven't posted in some time because I am completely disappointed in my progress.  I should be at my goal right now which is 148 lbs but have been stuck between 205 and 210 for the last 4 months.  Why you ask?  Because I am cheating and eating more than I should be.

Now to get my head where it is supposed to be and start exercising and eating properly.

100 and losing

So I am happy to say that I finally hit my 100 lb weight loss.  I am so excited. I started my journey at 307 lbs on my first day of weight loss class and this morning I weighed in at 207 lbs.  So I have 67 more lbs to lose to reach my goal weight.

Unfortunately it is only 5 lbs in the last 3 weeks.  Time to really start working harder.  I just don't understand why I get in these ruts. I've been really bad and not going to the gym. It's like I lost my motivation now that I can't pay for my trainer.  I still go walking at night a couple times a week if I don't go to the gym, but I really need to step up my game.

I still haven't had a drink and wont until I lose the 30 I said so, 25 lbs more to go...lol

My goal is to lose 3 lbs per week so, I seriously better get back to business.

Losing Slowly

So I'm still not losing as much as I had wanted.  I have decided not to have any alcohol until I lose 30 lbs.  I've lose 3 lbs since and am currently at 210 lbs.  Almost 100 lbs from when I started my Journey; 71 since surgery 8 months ago.

I've gone from a size 26/28 in clothes to a whopping 14.  Based on that, I've lost half of what I used to be.  Pretty proud.  Since I know I am still losing inches, I am not beating myself up too bad on the weight loss.

I just know I need to work harder and stop the between meal snacking.  Instead of picking at things because I'm bored or they look good, I need to just drink more water. I'm still not drinking nearly enough water as I should be.   :(

I'm getting enough protein in my diet, but am still losing hair.  This is depressing.  I am so used to having a head full of beautiful, thick curly hair and unless you really know me you would never guess at the hair loss but I have half the hair or less that I used to!

Bariatric Wellness Appointment

So yesterday was my 3 month check up at the Bariatric Wellness center in Burbank.  I am sad to say that I only lost 12 lbs in the last 3 months.  Miranda told me I am getting to many calories and really need to keep better track of what I am eating and to either cut out 1 meal or cut out my protein supplement.  I really need to be at my goal weight by my 1 year check up. This means i need to lose 70 pounds in the next 4 months.  I don't really think this is a possibility...I would need to lose more than 4 lbs per week.  I am thinking 45-48 lbs is more likely but that is still losing 3 lbs per week.

It is time to up my game and really bear down and get my butt to the gym 4-5 days per week.  I have really slacked off this last month.

Doctor Visit

So I went to my regular Doctor appointment 2 weeks ago and my blood pressure was 100/60 which for me is incredible.  The Doctor decided to cut my medication from twice a day to once a day and he also did blood work to check my cholesterol.  I made an appointment for 2 weeks to recheck my blood pressure and 7 months after surgery I am OFF my Blood Pressure as well as my Cholesterol Medications.

I am down to 212 pounds and a size 14.

WOOHOO this makes me a very happy girl.
